With the release of 8th edition today, it seemed appropriate to make a quick announcement...

 

Basically all of the previous topics from 7th edition backwards are now obsolete.  GW have, after all, completely changed the game.

 

I've already replaced the old FAQ topic with a new one (stickied at the top of the forum) and removed the old (and obsolete) Index thread.

 

What does this mean going forward?

 

Well, the OR will continue to function as it always has.  If you're unsure about any of the new rules and need some help understanding them, this is the best place to ask.

 

What does this mean regarding the old topics?

 

Well, basically, threadomancy will not be tolerated.  Those old topics are no longer relevant to 40k (some may remain relevant to 30k, but as they have their own rules sub-forum... take any follow-up questions there, please), so any posts that resurrect 7th edition (or 6th edition, 5th edition, etc. for that matter) threads will be deleted without prejudice!  You have been warned!

 

So, welcome to 8th edition 40k...  I hope you all find it to be a great edition and get plenty of fun games in.
