=][= A new edition, a new Liber =][=

Brothers and sisters of the Liber! As you can see, 8th edition has brought new changes to 40k and to B&C. We have seen the advent of new astartes and new Chapters - the Primaris of the Ultima Founding - we have also seen the resurrection of a Primarch long thought to have been little more than window dressing in the 40k setting. Of course, with new developments in the lore, we Liber Moderati need to keep abreast of it all to help guide you in making new DIYs. With that in mind, we are developing a 'Primaris Primer' to help Fraters know the salient details of the Ultima Founding and other relevant fluff. Our Heraldry Department* is also working with mel_danes to put together a Primaris painter, so that anyone who isn't up to speed with photoshop or any other similar programme will be able to create their own DIY Primaris Chapter and proudly show the results to our fellow Liberites.

However, we have bigger news. The Liber itself no longer consists of only the Liber Astartes forum anymore. Now that B&C has moved on to a more inclusive policy, you will no doubt have noticed that the Liber is now it's own forum with four separate subforums. In order these are:

• Liber Astartes
• Liber Chaotica
• Liber Imperialis
• Liber Xenos

Yes, you read that right. Xenos. As in Tau, Necrons, Orks, Eldar and Tyranids. Suffice it to say, the decision to bring Xenos on board was not made lightly. However, now that we are making ourselves a full on 40k forum rather than a specialist Imperial/Chaos one, we will need to move with the times. With this expansion, the fact that the Liber Moderating Team has become six strong - which will be touched upon in another announcement - bodes well for this development. Each of us will endeavour to aid Fraters with any DIY they need help with - Imperial, Chaos or Xenos.

It's a brave new world here on B&C. If you need us, we are one PM away.

That's right, the B&C is bigger and badder than ever, and the Liber has been given some breathing room to grow into the juggernaut we all know it can be. With this expansion and the introduction of various subforums, you will notice many threads being moved.

 

While it may be self-explanatory, the existing and new threads will be divided across the subforums according to their content.

 

+ The Liber +

This master forum will contain many of the guides and general advice threads that the Liber has accumulated over the years, such as the Liber Surgery. More than just general DIY-building discussion, it will also be the home for any multi-faction project, such as the Liber Cluster or the Baltus Crusade.

 

+ Liber Astartes +

Always the most common of DIYs, all Space Marine Chapter or Age of Darkness Legion DIYs will remain within this subforum, the original Liber.

 

+ Liber Chaotica +

All DIYs connected to Chaos, such as the Heretic Astartes, Cultist armies, and Daemon Warbands

 

+ Liber Imperialis +

Due to the popularity of Space Marine Chapter DIYs, all other Imperial factions have their own space here. This includes Guard regiments and Forge Worlds, Sisters of Battles and Inquisitorial cohorts, among others

 

+ Liber Xenos +

The newest kids on the block! All non-human and chaos DIYs go here. Post of your Eldar Craftworlds or Kabals, your Tyranid Splinterfleets and Tau Septs, your Ork Waaaghs! and Necron Dynasties

 

 

 

This is a massive change of B&C structure and policy, but one I am confident my Liberite brethren and sistren can take in stride. So crack your typing fingers and stretch those creative muscles, because this is our time to shine!

As stated previously, this decision wasn't taken lightly. The BnC has become generally accepted as the best Imperium Based Forum out there. This is all down to the members, the Frater who come here and contribute. I don't think it's too much of a stretch that everyone can make this site, the best 40K board of all too!
