A giant, grot controlled face with legs and a choppy arm is an amazing idea - I love him mate! Great work! :cool.:

Haha thanks, I appreciate it :) I still say Orks are the most fun to model with, I just hope the rules start to reflect that when we get our codex (whenever that may happen!)

I've heard great things about stormboyz. Ordered 7 of the stormgrotz that come in the kit, will keep you posted on more krew shenanigans! Bikers are alright, but far too expensive and not too reliable. 8 points a stormboy seems way more reasonable.

Thanks guys.

I personally stay clear of orruks, since they are quite a bit bigger than standard orks. I don't like the mix of Primaris and regular Astartes, so I won't start mixing scales too much with my orks, either. Of course, my warboss and Big Mek are a bit bigger than the rest, same as the Nobz compared to the boyz.

But orruks only make sense as Warbosses or Nobz, both of which I already own. And no other ork is just gonna outgrow my fearless, noble and green leaders. :D

I promised silly things and I shall deliver!..A wip!
I present you with Stormgrotz. Five regular ones for now, the nob is still...being worked out.

I made a mega armored warboss out of the Megaboss. I friggin love having a warboss the size of a dreadnought. I'll figure out a way to get some pictures up for you guys to see.

I'm on my phone and have little idea what I'm doing, but hopefully this link will work.

Finished up the Stormgrot nob and a Boss Zagstruk stand-in. The Nob's the one on the left. A git huddled up in a re-purposed drone. The one on the right is a grot who's hollowed out a cybork body to ride in, making him bigger and stronger than the other stormgrotz. The Kaptain himself promoted him to lead the rest of them for his cunnin'..probably. Only a few of them have ever maybe seen the Kaptain. Maybe they made it up, he's the most cunnin' and ancient grot of them all.

I've just finished my version of Boss Snikrot. I wanted his camouflage to look  more effective than the rest of my army since he's the best Kommando my army will have. Hope you like it.

I started by painting his skin with Incubi Darkness and the discontinued Orkhide Shade foundation paint. As a result he came out far darker than I expected, and it looks a bit blue for my liking but it makes a nice contrast from my other Orks. Let me know what you think. :)

Ok so I figured my boys aren't as impressive but I want to show them off:

Throw back to when Warlords were Warlords!

My own warboss: Gitbash Skullkrusha - Da Bloo Wonda, who feels a bit under dressed compared some of the others here:

I like the freehand you have painted on classic Ghazkull and Gitbash. The checked pattern in such a small area is pretty impressive. :)

I also noticed you've gone for yellow and black hazard stripes on the mega armour which is some nice detail.

Thanks that was tricky but fun to do. I like to try push myself in little ways with painting and I had never done it before so gave it a shot.

For the hazard stripes I wanted to make them stand out a bit more and imagined they would have been ripped out of something else.

Right, this 'ere thread needs a boot up the arse!

I recently uploaded some pictures of my Snikrot model. Here's the first five of his Kommando mob. They are made from a mix of GW Forge World and Kromlech parts.

Here's a group shot.

I decided to use a different colour scheme to make them distinct from my other mobs. The mines are painted to look like rust with the thought that they would blend in well with old battlefield wreckage.

Most of the metallic parts are meant to look painted over with a dark grey but there are scratches to make the wargear look used. I tried to keep the use of metallic paints to a minimum on these guys so they wouldn't give away their position with shinies.

I hope you like these guys. I'm soon to start the bulk of the mob using stock GW models with some minor weapon swap conversions. I just posted these guys because the look a bit different.
