Ultramarines Tartaros Terminators Question?

How do you use them in 40K?

 

As standard termies? I haven't looked through the new Index yet, so forgive me if they have a data sheet.

 

I want to use them as standard terminators, would that be objectionable?

They have a data sheet and rules, so yes that'd be bad form to use them as regular terminators when they are not.

It really depends of your gaming group :) Usually, people are not too upset when using 'counts as' especially when it's design-wise very close.

 

If anything, you'd like to see how they perform on the battlefield before purchasing, and that's perfectly reasonable.

I have the models from a couple of prospero sets, I just prefer the looks of them over the standard.

They have a dataslate, but unless you are in a pretty serious WYSIWYG tournament setting, anyone who gets really wrapped around the axle about using them as regular terminators is being obtuse for no reason.

 

The conversaiton should go:

"Neat Tartaros Termies."

"Oh, they're just counting as regular terminators today."

"Oh, ok.  Cool."

That said, I don't know you wouldn't use them as Tartaros termies.  They're pretty good.

I'm using a tartaros captain as a standard terminator captain... Would look silly if I had an Indo terminator leading 20 tartaros haha

Better in most cases, the dont have teleport homers, can't take hammer and boards or assault cannons. In saying that I'll be fielding 20 of them haha.
