Greetings to all. I am giving you a brief battle report of my Primaris Scythes of the Emperor VS Tyranids.

My first game ended in disaster. 2 blobs of Genestealers running across the board made stuff disappear.

Made tactical adjustments and demanded a rematch. So my Dark Imperium box minus the power sword Lt. And he switched out a 'stealer blob for a Carnifex.

The aura from Captain and Lt made things work very well. The hellblasters with the rerolls blasted the Fex off the table with barely a wound in return. Concentrated fire basically wiped out the rest. My best moment came when I shot the Broodlord to death.... with pistols.... in close combat. That was amazing.

So it was my second game of 40k in over ten years and had a great time. I'm going pure Primaris so I have lots of painting time between releases and look forward to it all. Sorry for the disjointed post. It was a grind of a day at work and wanted to share this before I forgot. Thank you all.

Ha, funnily enough, my first game of 8th was also against Gene Stealers, although with Trygon and Mawlock, while I tried the Primaris tank with approximated points (probably paid more than necessary). This is worries me about Primaris. They are too few to withstand such abuse for a long time. We desperately need that Dread to block melee units.

Either way, congratulations on that win. Well done ;)
