Looking for: a filthy Traitor for co-op HH hobby project

Hello all,

 

I've been wanting to start a Horus Heresy-era army for... a long time. And have repeatedly failed. Thus, I am looking for someone who would like to:

• start collecting a new HH-era force aligned with Horus to act as antagonists to my Imperial Fists (doesn't have to be Iron Warriors);
• OR a non-Imperium-aligned force of some description (could be Xenos, seperatist humans, etc);
• paint their models to a decent tabletop standard;
• craft some cool background story for our respective forces;
• keep each other motivated with light-hearted banter, much needed kicks in the rear, etc;
• meet up to make our armies clash on the field of battle once they are of a decent size (so ideally someone from Europe);
• maintain a log here on the B&C and/or a blog to document our trials and tribulations.

If you find that this describes you, please post below with a few lines about what you'd like to do if you were to join the project and anything else you think is necessary to add. :tu:

I've been sitting on an Iron Warrior project for a while. Not sure I have the time or space for it, though.

My, my, what do my eyes see I'd certainly be interested in this as I've wanted to do an Alpha Legion force (Preferably Zone Mortalis but I am not so dead set on that) for quite some time but motivation has been sorely lacking (In big parts due to no larnean terminator kit and no Alpharius). I'm nearly done with a unit of Cataphractii Terminators and have a contemptor that needs to be finished, as well as having one finished Master of Signals, so the force is still in its infancy. As I remember, you're too situated in Switzerland, so we're pretty close to each other; small country and whatnot It's been about a year and a half since I've had a warhammer game, so my grip on the rules is very, very rusty and poor atm.

Edit: Alternatively, I've also been thinking about traitor mechanicum to have a bit of a diversion from all the poweramour :)

 

Any specific timeframe you'd be looking at?

Me? I'm building and painting some alphas currently. Check it out my friend. I'm not in Europe though. My alphas were in pursuit of an escalation league in the states... Sad day.

Hi Dos,

 

I've put a together a playable force of ECs (see my sig), which I am still growing. I'm also starting a small force of SoHs (assembled and undercoated, time to paint now). I'd be very happy to cooperate with you as I'm also in need of motivation these days. Where are you based in Europe? I'm willing to drive around on the weekends to neighboring countries if it means I get to play quality HH players (as in, fluff driven and not WAAC).

You've really encouraged me in my work over the last 18 months, I would love to be able to return the favour! I think alphas vs fists would be pretty epic (praetorian of dorm?). Just think, when they finally release Dorn and alpharius we could recreate the final scenes!

 

I enjoy a friendly narrative game, but haven't really entertained the idea of gaming groups. A gaming buddy with an enthusiasm for heresy era gaming sounds great. My only reservation would be the time to meet up and game, where are you based?
