Failed and roll of 1 reroll interactions

Hi, sorry if this question was already raised and answered.

 

Canis Wolfborn gives 6'' close units the ability to re roll  to wound rolls of 1 (Champion of deathwolves rule)

His wolfclaws allow you to reroll failed to wound rolls

 

Here's how I see this :

 

I roll to wound a 2 when I needed 3+ then I apply wolfclaw rule. Second roll is 1 then I can apply Canis' rule to reroll.

 

I roll to wound a 1 then I apply Canis' rule. Second roll is a 2 (+3 needed), I then reroll thanks to wolfclaws.

 

Am I correct ?

You can only reroll once.

 

If you apply one rule and reroll you have to go with the  second roll

You can't use both, so you'll have to choose to use the re-roll that is most appropriate for the situation.
