Errr not really. 6th Ed Raptors had scout and legendary marksmen, issodon had acute senses for ourflankers then; 8th Ed RG have the equivalent of stealth. If you mean his 7th Ed version of master of ambush, then that's pretty much the same as his current one and still nothing to Dr with the previous raven guard traits

Issodon had shrouded and master of ambush, which got amplified in RG CT. His current incarnation is similar but the whole army is essentially Issodon-lite. Scout/Infiltrate is covered by SFTS and his shrouded got spread around as a better(for the edition) -1BS. This is what I meant.

The big difference is legendary marksmen. Which was cool but nothing special at the time or compared to the new CT. I have no idea how it may translate into 8e. Seeing as how Issodon can reserve 3 units and himself I suspect the Raptor CT will be the same as RG but have a "Legendary Marksmen" stratagem. Which while I imagine it will be fluffy, it won't beat SFTS. Maybe it will grant any 6 to hit an additional -1 to AP or something. The disparency in power level of the different stratagems worries me.

But if LM became the CT and we kept STFS stratagem that would be awesome.

Been thinking about this a bit as well.

If Lias's rules are tweaked whenever the official 8th version is released to allow Primaris to infiltrate with him, it would help mitigate against replacing SftS with legendary marksmen. Even though this sounds (and actually is) like wishful thinking, it would make a bit of sense that whilst Raptors can officially use the RG tactics and stratagem as a successor, its a bit too powerful to allow unrestricted use of Lias's infiltration too. Maybe "when" we lose SftS, Lias will be able to take his new buddies with him into the darkness.

I think, if it is a stratagem, Legendary Marksman will be a 1CP/unit/turn affair. Maybe either -1AP for bolt weapons, or -3AP on a 6 to wound possibly. Regarding the perceived disparity in the power levels of stratagems, I hear you based on what we know now, but I think that once a good few codexes are released, some of the weaker looking ones will come into their own, at least in certain match ups. Or the stratagem stays mediocre, but the CT it supports will get better (I firmly believe that the IF ignores cover will become amazing against certain armies, that get unique rules to always count as in cover, f'rex). Similarly, I think that the RG CT will become situational, once Khorne, GS cults, Grey Knights, Blood Angels etc all get full rules. I have a feeling those forces will rarely be 12"+ away from us :)

Apologies for the wall of ot. In response to the OP, pretty much as others have said. For now, just SftS your Primaris, and use Lias to infiltrate support HQs to buff your scouts and hellblasters etc. Legendary Marksmen on stalker/auto bolt rifles will be awesome.

Raptors transfers came from Forge World.  It's discontinued now, yet there are a few other sites that have something similar.

Please search the forums for these or make a new thread, and I recommend the Forge.  Raptor transfers are tangential to this thread.
