Gen.Steiner
I think 14 pages of FAQs for five books over hundreds and hundreds of pages covering 20? armies is pretty reasonable actually! Lots of things get missed by lots of companies, publishers, editors, etc etc. It happens. C'est la vie. GodwynDi
For all that, though, there's not actually that many errors. Much of the faqs have been clarifications rather than actual adjustments. For our handflamers, I think d6 was intended but they just got too many complaints about it, cause of how powerful we are. Gen.Steiner
A lot of the clarifications are, I suspect, simply down to typos, missed errors, and copy-pastes that weren't updated with other sections.E.G. Vanquisher at S9 not S8, hand flamers at d6 not d3, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336029-new-faq-is-out/page/3/#findComment-4812391 Share on other sites

Vanquisher at S9 not S8, hand flamers at d6 not d3, etc. Â I do wonder though if those FAQs are doing back to the test team or just applying the most common value. The vanquisher for instance doesn't actually make any sense at S8. ERJAK
I disagree; not when it's presented to us as the most polished, balanced and play tested edition ever. Tbf, Warmahordes is considered to be one of the tightest, most balanced focused rulesets out there and even they have a decent amount of FAQ and Errata and, when mk3 came out, a faction that basically didn't work; and that's for a game where laser pointers, proxy bases, and 2d terrain are common practice. Â TL:DR it's totally justified to be annoyed but cut them some slack, it works way better than 6th or 7th did right off the bat. Servant of Dante
That's awesome :D Â The Repressor is almost certainly undercosted for what you get over a basic rhino Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336029-new-faq-is-out/page/3/#findComment-4814478 Share on other sites
A.T.
The Repressor is almost certainly undercosted for what you get over a basic rhino  It's 15pts more and the first of it's several benefits is a 17pt heavy flamer... So a little on the cheap side :p  Though it's got nothing on the forgeworld searchlight. 20pts to add an automatic +1 to hit against a target each turn. Deepstriking overcharged plasma scions anyone? CaptainHelion
You still have to pay for the heavy flamer on the Repressor, don't you? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336029-new-faq-is-out/page/3/#findComment-4815087 Share on other sites
Gen.Steiner
Yes, or whatever weapon you end up taking on it (if it has options; I don't have the datasheet). A.T.
You still have to pay for the heavy flamer on the Repressor, don't you? Â Yes, it just has a base cost 2 points lower than the rhino so you are essentially getting a 2 point discount on the heavy flamer and everything else is pure freebies. Jacinda
The ability to add a second Hvy Flamer makes me wonder ... is it getting a new model? Maybe a plastic one one based on a chimera. Maybe there will be a Sororitas chimera in the final codex. Maybe it is a mistake made in the rush to get an index released. It's all a little curious. Gen.Steiner
I'm pretty sure it's always had the ability to add a pintle-mount heavy flamer in addition to the turret storm bolter/heavy flamer? Sir_Gaea
No, it only had a pintle flamer and storm bolter turret. Second heavy flamer is interesting.  [EDIT] Is there anything against the occupants firing out into enemies engaged in mêlée with the Repression? CaptainHelion
The unit can't target a unit that's engaged with another of your own units, so that's out. A.T.
v1.1 FAQs out and ... no change for sisters. Â Aside from a note in the rulebook FAQ that limits all deny-like powers (which would include shield of faith) to a 24" maximum range. Gen.Steiner
Doesn't Shield of Faith's Deny the Witch bit only trigger when that unit is targeted by a power? In which case wouldn't the originating psyker always be within 24" anyway?
