aluriel00
I read a post that said WG bikes could fire both the bike's twin boltguns and the rider's personal weapons (storm bolters) in the same turn. This doesn't seem right to me and I'd like confirmation. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336054-wg-bikes-and-storm-bolters/ Share on other sites

Valerian
Yeah, the only weapons you can't shoot with others are pistols. Otherwise, a model gets to fire every weapon he's armed with. It's how we don't have to have any extra special rules for vehicles and monstrous creatures this edition; now everybody gets to do it. aluriel00
Wow, that's a lot of shots and makes WG Bikes a lot better than jump packs. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336054-wg-bikes-and-storm-bolters/#findComment-4806360 Share on other sites
Gherrick
Wow, that's a lot of shots and makes WG Bikes a lot better than jump packs. Different, not necessarily better. Bikes are a bit more pricey, and cannot deep strike. Depending on the need, one is better than the other. I personally like jump packs, because while the T5 is very nice, being able to drop your WG combi unit where you need them is near-priceless. Kasper_Hawser
A lot of jump pack shenanigans these days. I get the feeling that Drop Pods have become increasingly less important now except for Infantry, which are now seemingly less cost efficient. I thank God now that I didn't jump on to the Ragnar Blackmane Great Company wagon back during Curse of the Wulfen and assemble 10 Drop pods. These days, those who use Drop Pods at all (Sternguard, Tacticals, veterans) only seem to use 2 or 3 at most. I'll probably still use them to drop Grey Hunters occasionally, but sadly it looks like it'll be for sake of fluff rather than crunch. With Jump Pack Wolf Guards all armed with combis, the only consideration is that Jump Pack Wolf Guards will be considerably more expensive when armed with combis, as opposed to the GH' one melta gun and combi melta at smallest. For Plasma I prefer deepstrike since you can just put a unit in rapid fire range. For Melta I prefer bikes since you can advance and still shoot and use the 20 inch move to get into short range if you want. I keep forgetting that assault weapons can shoot after advancing.
