I don't know if it counts as "regular" Marines but the only kits I'm interested in that'd I'd continue to buy will be MKIII and MKIV squads.

"Regular" marines are just the shorties, so those count. I haven't bought a plastic Mk VII kit in 6 years, but I've bought plenty of stumpy pre-Heresy marines from FW.

I'll be going full primaris for the truescale possibilities. I won't be following the lore, just a true scale version of the astartes we all know and love (But with a new mark of power armour for a new millenium).

Really, after the release of the primaris I feel the traditional marines look way too small for super-human warriors. I'm hoping they will release som primaris size old school marks of power armour in the future, but I doubt it will happen. One can hope.

for any of my Horus Heresy lists Ill definitely be getting some of the MK3 / MK 4 marines, and even for regular chapters I totally would still get some basic marines.

Havent gotten any primaris yet, they seem "okay" and at this moment are in no way shape or form a replacement for your good o'l tactical squads or dev squads.

Thing is, despite the Primaris craze, and as I said before, I still need to finish or build various proper Space Marine armies. Space Sharks, Space Wolves, Angels of Redemption, Grey Knights, Deathwatch... and also my Red Hunters and Black Templars need a few more units (mostly vehicles, but stil). Not to mention my Iron Warriors.

Primaris aren't a part of any of those projects.

Now that I know Intercessors always hold objectives even if outnumbered their role is effective and clear.

I'll only purchase Primaris models from now on. Maybe a Sicaran Venator will be the exception.

What?? What rule is this?

Wait, I missed this. Intercessors always count as holding objectives?

A bonus from the Space Marine codex for having a 'pure' army (all units in the detachment having the <Chapter> Keyword.

Units gain the old Objective Secured rule.

Their new rule is called "For the Emperor" and it's in the new Codex.

They are clearly the best unit to grab objectives now.

they are cheaper than devastators, have better range than tacticals, and are point for point more durable than all of the above, they also have at least a little rend on every gun which helps.

IMO they make better backfield objective holders, but I dont know that they're any better for holding objectives closer to the enemy.
