chapter master 454
Thinking of at some point that I may get myself a second Baal Predator HOWEVER I am not a Blood Angel player and to be honest, not a fan of having a random ally with little narrative reason and rules being somewhat restrictive. I am thinking of using the Baal predator and converting the Flamestorm cannon into the melta cannon the deimos predator takes. Kind of mixed about where to put this thread but here seemed best because I have 2 things with one being a theoretical conversion plan and a question of opinion on the 'Magna-Melta Cannon' (sounds pretty boss). Already the first part done: Is the Magna-Melta Cannon any good? The idea for the conversion is simple but I wonder what others think of using a Baal to make a Deimos predator (since the price difference is £20) is straight forward: Taking the Flamestorm cannon and remove the barrels between the cowl and base along with aux. pipes and igniters, then for extra detailing using a good knife cut and modify the cowl to have melta slots (use greenstuff to fill the remaining holes). Thoughts? Would you guys think it look like an actual magna-melta? NovemberIX
I haven't played it in 8th yet, but the rules look pretty good for the MMC, Heavy D3, S10, D6 Damage. So the Magna melta barrels measure 16 mm x 30 mm (two 8MM tubes x length housing to tip), I'm not sure of the size of the flamestorm cannon but I do believe it to be a fair bit shorter and all around thinner. Maybe using plastic rod would be easier to use to emulate the design.
