My next craziness in conversions

So as some of you might know I'm doing Vlka inspired in the show Vikings and I want them to be playable in 30 and 40k. Since I just finished Freki and Geri I thought how can I use these in 40k games? The answer was obvious since I hate the concept of wolves mounting wolves but they're big and scary enough to count as thunderwolves.

 

So I decided I would have these two as thunderwolves led by a third beast master which clearly needed a rider but I hate someone mounting such a pride full animal as a thunderwolf.

Seems a match made in heaven. I'd appreciate ideas though on how to fit stormrider in a 90mm oval base like the Wolf kin and to make it be pulled by one or maximum two normal Fenrisian wolves to make it less ridiculous.

 

What do you think? Better the grav Chariot alone or pulled by one or two Fenrisian wolves?

Here I am trying to figure out how to mount the GK arm-mounted storm bolters on a Primaris and people are doing things like this...

 

 

Why not have the chariot by itself with wolves running alongside or behind it? The chariott appears to have thrusters and I see no need for it to be pulled by wolves. The idea of chariots isn't exactly anti-viking, just not common. I think the chariot would be more appreciated if it wasn't being pulled by wolves which are running in opposite directions.

What size base is Logan on Stormrider mounted on and why are you going for a 90mm oval?

 

The 90mm oval is not particularly wide.

 

I have a Lord model on an attack bike, usiing the side car as his personal chariot point. Was using it for Engir Krakendoom to ride to war surrounded by his warriors on bikes..... Sort of a high speed vikings in space going on a raid (mount up hunters in rhinos etc and going full mechanised. These pics are from around 2011, so he has been updated with Molocs spear, but sill he has not progressed beyond this point paint-wise. In fact his packs are in the same paint condition :(

If you mus use the chariot, have it either escorted by wolves/ bikers at the sides or use a short T bar to bring the wolves closer to the chariot and lower the chariot so it is barely skimming the ground, like a more traditional chariot, some jewellers chain for reins.

 

If you have a spare bike, puit the body section with the seat inside the chariot and have the rider seated, just like the Boneless would have been

My Ivar the Boneless is pretty much a SW serpentine. The serpentine part being cables and mechanical stuff.
