sedobren
Hi guys, since i don't have a lot of experience with mechanized lists (my soh are basically footslogging!) i'd like to ask what do you thing about this. I know it is not easy to play with, or against, but anyway the general idea was to have the 3 land raiders move from deployement zone, while the vets ouflank and shoot from inside the rhinos. Sigismund, medic and templars vs 3+ and termies and centurion vs 2+ (as usual in many other lists!), while the breachers will be parked near one objective. Main anti tank are the many lascannons and, if needed, the typhon, that i hope will take an heavy toll on unembarked infantry. Numbers are: 40 pa, 8 ta, 4 14+ armour and 2 rhinos! + HQ + Centurion [130pts]: Artificer Armour, Boarding Shield, Chainsword or Combat Blade, None, Thunder Hammer . . K3nn3rs
It's a hard list to read. Some considerations: Tartaros can't take Vigil Pattern Storm Shields. I'd give all of the terminators storm shields. Put Sigusmund with the terminators. Put the consul with the Templars. Squeeze in armoured cermamite onto Typhon and spartan I'd consider dropping the breachers (whilst I love them I'm not sure what they add to this list). Put AA onto the Vet Sgts Just a few ideas to think about - good luck with the list! Ultramarinebo
I'd consider giving your vets + their rhino's a bunch of melta if they are outflanking. It can be great to ambush back board vehicles. As was said, you'll need armoured Cera on spartan + Typhon. There needs to be some anti air, depends on who you play though. Mortis dreads can do this well if you don't want a flier. Or some fortification at IF? I'd consider a chain fist or two in the Terminators to deal with opposing armour 14 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336603-imperial-fists-siege-list-3000-pt/#findComment-4825725 Share on other sites
sedobren
Thanks for the feedback (sorry about the format, the new battlescribe does this!) Anyway, tartaros can take the shield, it just costs more (15 instead of 10). Which is also the reason i'm not giving it to the whole team (too much points). I wanted something different from my 20 SoH cataphractii, i know its not ideal but i like the model and the rest and, points aside, on paper they are better, with the shield obv. Melta is a good idea, but i still unsure in the current meta how many times i will shoot against armoured ceramite! This also mean i will probably have to find space for it as you suggest. The breacher are there only because i bought 10 of them (5 actual breachers and 5 even more useless phalanx warders) I could switch them for a tactical support team, with something cheap like flamers or volkite, and give the proteus the exploratory array, what do you think? No they can't. 10 points is for cataphractii 15 points is for standard terminator armour (can run but can't sweep) As Tartaros has its own rules now it isn't covered as a wargear option. Many feel 3++ sweeping terminators is too powerful (I think you pay the points so it should be allowed). There's plenty of posts on hear discussing the issue. sedobren
Damn i've re-read thoroughly the rules and it would seem so. Well at least i've found my 20 points haha! I will have to donate 10 cataphractii from my soh in exchange for 10 tartaros, could have been worse. It also fill the army theme (siege list) more. P.s.: why is sweeping advance so well perceived!? Warsmith Manat-Yi
P.s.: why is sweeping advance so well perceived!? Being that durable and also getting access to sweeping is probably too strong. You're likely to win combat, so with the ability to sweep you can just delete squads of other elite infantry and move on. I'm not sure I entirely agree but I suppose it keeps tartaros from being the only viable option. sedobren 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/336603-imperial-fists-siege-list-3000-pt/#findComment-4830526 Share on other sites
