Raven Guard Seeker Tactical Markings

Hi guys,

 

quick one, can anyone drop me a pic of which tactical marking raven guard Seekers would use?

 

I'm unsure whether they'do count as reconnaissance, support or just special unit?

 

I'm leaning towards special, but any clarification would be awesome.

Also, what would count as line command? I'm assuming it wouldn't be standard squad sergeant? as wouldn't they purely be denoted by helmet colour?

I'd go with special unit icon just because it looks cool.

 

I think the command stuff is up to you, though. Line command just refers to any officer. You can choose to do the helmet color stuff strictly according to the markings page in Extermination if you like it, or you can do shoulder markings, or both. Secondary markings such as on the pads could vary wildly from unit to unit, as the Raven Guard are used to operating independently for long periods and may have developed idiosyncrasies. Basically, go with what you think looks good.

I'll probably go for special as they do look cool as well as they just don't ring out to me as reconnaissance I'm any way and I'll purely be using them to throw down firepower at specific units.

 

Markings wise on the rest of the force:

 

I was looking at giving Alvarex Maun the High Command marking and making his helmet white to denote captain. High command as he organises the legions planet fall ops so I feel that's high up there.

 

Tacts obviously get the tactical line Markings

 

Seekers - Special

 

Mor Deythan are already marked reconnaissance and that is a similar role to how I intend to use them so i'm happy with that.

 

I'll probably find a centurion when I expand my force and give him the line command marking. I was thinking of giving it to the seeker sergeant however that unit will be operating primarily with Maun, and it seems to make no sense to place 2 officers and commanders of the force in the same location.

 

I really enjoy going into these details, seeing the structure of certain legions.

 

Any other mentions of Markings etc or advice/tips are welcome
