How would each legion make use of these models?

Between what I've got here and on the way I have:

2x Land Raider Proteus

1x Spartan Assault Tank

2x Contemptor Dreadnought (w/ 2x Plasma Cannons & 2x CCW)

1x Leviathan Dreadnought (w/ Storm Cannon & Siege Drill)

20x MkIII Breachers

30x MkIII Marines.

I initially considered Iron Hands, but the main roadblock there is a lack of interest in their fluff and the headless primarch thing since the games I play are usually set after Isstvan V. I've definitely crossed Iron Hands, Raven Guard, Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists off my list.

I read somewhere that TDA was developed partly as a replacement for breachers due to the strain that the boarding shield placed on the MK III armour's power supply so I kinda like the idea of using a large breacher squad as an assault unit (not an ideal use I know) for a detachment that may not have received TDA for whatever reason.

So, aside from the ones mentioned above, how would each legion make effective use of the stuff listed?

Death Guard - run "The Reaping" and take a 15-man Breacher Squad and a 15-man Tactical Squad. You should be able to make up two 10-man Heavy Support Squads or Veteran Squads (which will be non-compulsory Troops). Grab some Grave Wardens, as they can take a Spartan as a Dedicated Transport. Take the Leviathan and 2 fireboat Land Raider Proteus' as your 3 Heavy Support choices (3 TL lascannons each, with pintle-mounted multi-meltas). Add Contemptors if points allow.

World Eaters - "Berserker Assault" force, with a 15-man Breacher Squad and two 15-man Tactical Squads (take Gahlan Surlak and make them Augmented Inductii for S6 AP4 ccw's!). Grab some Red Butchers in a Spartan, and run the same 3 HS choices. Sprinkle in Contemptors.

A lot of Legions could do something like this, but those would be my choice. :)

well you crossed out some of the legion that uses those units the most!

Maybe ultramarines? Their breachers can take power swords as an additiona options (and they are almost cheap to take), you could also buy some UM specific shields.

That said every legion had almost everything in its own arsenal, the "flavour" depends on which transports you are using, in the end: as an exaple, ravenguard sure used heavy stuff, like leviathans and super heavies!

They sound like some pretty solid ideas and I do like World Eaters (who doesn't after reading Betrayer?).

Any and all legions can find a nice list with this (bar some minor restrictions with more infantry than tanks that some have etc).

I think first decide if you are going loyal or traitor - then that will narrow it down more...

I know that all of the legions could make use of pretty much anything, I just made this thread to look for ideas that I may not have considered.

I think your best option for the Breachers and Land Raiders is Alpha Legion. They can take the raiders as dedicated transports and either scout or infiltrate.

Thousand Sons is a good choice for Breachers too, since Raptora gives them a 4++ invulnerable, but they would have to cross the field the old fashioned way by deploying normally.
