High Res Banner Decal Help

Alright, this is a bit of a long shot, but does anyone have experience printing decals? I've decided on an ambitious under taking for my caestus and could use guidance on how to find and size two high resolution banners to cover the tops of the transport hulls.

 

I'm looking to find the Deathwing, and the Dark Angel's Chapter banner in a resolution that will look crisp covering the 3.5" height by 1.75" width. But, when I have done trial prints, they have come out distorted, and not properly sized.

 

Can someone point me towards a tutorial, or guide, or if you have experience with large real estate decaling I would greatly appreciate any help.

You'll want vector graphics. I have a Deathwing symbol here.

I've done a bit of research, and from what I've found is that most printers don't print white. So that's another hurdle to over come.

a guy used to sell really really nice ones for old metal banner bearers on ebay, dunno if he still sells them. i have a banner of retribution he did, paid like 9 bucks for it
