Bonuses to str are not cumulative So No str 16 attacks. I'm sure that it was faqed in blood angels theme

As I understand it, it's identical bonuses that are not cumulative, ergo if you have two chaplain dread you still only get +1 S. But otherwise bonuses are cumulative, see for instance cover.

 

Q: Lots of aura abilities say they grant an ability to nearby

units that are within range of any such models. Are the bonuses

cumulative (i.e. if I am within range of two models with

identical aura abilities, is the bonus doubled)?

A: Unless stated otherwise, no. The bonus for such an

ability applies once if any (i.e. one or more) of these

models are within range.

A little unrelated but on the topic of Helbrecht:

 

Did anyone notice that below Helbrechts headline in the codex it says "High Master of the Black Templars"?

 

I've never heard of High Master before. Did I miss something?

The BRB doesn't say anything, in fact. It only comments on the order in which bonuses are applied but does not really consider the case of bonuses from abilities then effects from weapons.

 

As for the High master thing, it's clearly a typo, since in the next line it reads again High Marshal.

 

edit : on a side note, I am really disappointed with the proofreading in this v8. So many typos, errors and mistakes. Much as in the index, they forgot to give a cost to the ironclad assault launcher.

Yeah, couldn't find that either.  So I consider it free for the time being. ;)

It got FaQed in the index for 5 pts, I doubt it'll be much more in the codex.
