Heralds of Ruin Kill Team 8th Ed

Hey guys, I'm not too sure if this is the correct place to post this. If it's in the incorrect forum feel free to move it.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to adapt the Heralds of Ruin kill team rules to 8th edition? I know there is SW:A but it's kinda limited in what units you can take etc. HoR allows a lot of flexibility in units selection.

I'm sure it won't take that much to adapt the rules into 8th ed.

Just an FYI...lots of the armies have been done up and are either on the site for testing, or finishing up in their respective Dev groups.  Take a look and let us know what you think!

Good Afternoon All,

A long long time ago, in the dawn of time (5th edition), I played some GW Kill team.  It was good, but seemed...limiting.  I stumbled upon Heralds of Ruin on FB.  It was like a shot of awesome.  Taking the Codex and shrinking it down into a mini/kill team version.  Now you had all sorts of choices and rarely would you seem a kill team that matched yours.  And then on top of that...a sweet campaign system too.  The guy behind it decided to take a hiatus, so after months and months of badgering he turned over the reins.  Since then we have gone all the way to 8th edition and increased from 20 factions to the list below.  There's a little something for everyone in there, Tau and Kroot Mercenaries.  Lots of things from Rogue Trader (Squats and Enslavers anyone?).  And we include the 30k/Horus Heresy faithful, with them being adapted into 8th edition rules.

The official website is below, and the FB Group as well.  It's player/community driven, so updates happen all the time and the writers (myself included) are very open to feedback and always on the lookout to curb broken units/rules.

Take a look, try it out, tell your friends, and by all means ask me any questions you have!!!

I've been playing it a lot during 7e but when they worked on releasing a new version of HoR GW dropped 8e and ever since then I was too busy trying out the new HoR or even try to convince my group to try yet another new thing. It was great but I think our group will stick with GWs new Kill Team now.

Note that I've moved the topic that was posted in the Other Games forum into the Homegrown Rules forum because the Heralds of Ruin Kill Team rules are not official WH40K rules, but homegrown. And since there was an existing topic, I've merged the topics (so there's a bit of redundancy).
