How has everyone been running their blood letters?

I used to use them as KDK troops and deep strike them in. Now it appears the only way for me to do that is to summon them in, which in turn adds the risk of mortal wounds and losing the characters ability to move.

Any ideas would be helpful.

I have 70 Bloodletters for the holy 8x8 for the Daemonkin.

Used to run them as lots of small "fire and forget" units but now I'm thinking of running two 30 strong squads supported by Heralds. Just drown the enemy in a tide of swords and murder.

OP, It wouldn't necessarily be Khorne (however there are a band of Word Bearers only devoted to Khorne) but the new Word Bearers stratagem allows Summon rolls to be rerolled and the Summoner does not take any wounds for rolling doubles or triples.. No reason not to summon Blood Letters in a WBs army :biggrin.:

Haven't run 'em but with the points drops in the CSM codex (down to 7points each) you're getting closer and closer to horde army.

Slogging across the board can be hard.. half your army is shot to pieces...

But if you have 100 bloodletters (700 points, 1/3 of your army in troops, pretty normal) a lot are bound to get there!

I have been working on three blobs of 30 with a Blood Throne in support. Start off with them with toes at the edge of your deployment zone and just rush forward. It also helps to have something scary to helo draw fire and give fire support. I have a Plasma Obliterator in a fortification slot and am considering a couple Bloodcrusher units to run up the flanks.
