Adeptus Astartes Strategums and non codex chapters

Can the Grey Knights (and the others) use 'Adeptus Astartes' strategums from things like Codex Space Marines?

 

The GK have the Adeptus Astartes keyword.

I'm going to assume "no, they can't use Space Marine Stratagems" - however, the three previewed today on the Warhammer Community are the same as ones presented in the Space Marine Codex, so I expect that there will be some overlap between the two Codexes regardless.

No. Per 'Space Marine Units' on pg 194 of 'Dex: Marines a 'space marine unit' not only needs 'Adeptus Astertes' but also a qualifying chapter keyword. Either one from the list in that paragraph, or, per an exception on pg 196, one that can be derived as a descendant of one on the list.

 

Bold text in the top left corner of pg. 196 required a 'space marine detachment' as noted above to qualify to use the stratagems listed

 

The Grey Knights don't have a known first founding parent and are thus ineligible. More's the pity, I have a game planned for my knights next week too.

I should also add that they are not "Adeptus Astartes Stratagems" but rather "Space Marine Stratagems" except where a specific Chapter is called out (e.g. White Scars Stratagem).

I'm sure I've seen a picture of an adeptus astartes strategum previewed somewhere.

 

But if they are all space marine strategums in the codex that's moot really.
