Obviously taken in a seperate detachment, not to mess with our BoP rule. But the FW Chaplain Dread seems to have some interesting options if taken as your Warlord.

 

It can have a Trait, Chapter Tactic and Relic. All for free.

 

What can we do with that?

 

Fiat thing that springs to mind is stacking Iron Resolve with the Armour Indomitus (strange, but no restriction on who can use it...) and maybe the Iron Hands CT.

 

This makes him 10W, so he can now be shot at normally. But he has a 2+ save, 3++ once per game. And 3 seperate 6+ rolls to ignore wounds!

 

There's also the great RG trait that denys overwatch, but that would lock you into the RG CT.

 

Not GK related, but we could use this as Red Hunter or Exorcist dread to retain the theme.

 

Might be totally impractical, just an odd thought that occurred to me. :)

What's the point of this guy? He's just a venerable with an extra wound for 30 extra points and the loss of a CP. Also, for him to take a relic he must be the warlord, so you can't have any relics or warlord traits in the GK detachment. All of this for an extra wound? what's the point?

 

A GMNDK also has a 2+, 3++  (even a 6+ FnP if you want to) and is better in every way.
