Zubbiefish
Can a successor chapter use their founding chapter's Warlord Trait and/or Relic? There's a section at the beginning of both the Chapter Tactics, and Stratagem sections which indicates successors may use those, but I don't see a similar thing for Warlord Traits or Relics. I'm assuming not, just like named characters, but i want to be sure I'm not missing something here... Eddie Orlock
This would appear to be the case by a strict and literal wording, but for a practical application there are a couple of fairly text compliant remedies. The first is simply to 'counts as'. Simply put, if your entire force would be legal with the keyword 'Ultramarines', then simply claim your force counts as Ultramarines and go on your jolly way. Alternatively, if some odd type vehemently protests that your carefully crafted marine force isn't in typical 'Ultramarine blue' with standard markings and thus can't be ultra, I would remind them that the codex instructs to both vary markings to confuse the enemy and to adjust paint and camospecs if it suits the task-force and operation. Clearly the confusion of such foes would be itself a demonstration of the wisdom of the codex. infornography 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/337956-csm-warlord-traits-relics/#findComment-4854774 Share on other sites
