It's like chocolate and peanut butter combining to make a Reese's Cup. From the comments on that thread, there are a lot of vocal people who only like peanut butter, but the Likes seem to indicate more people like Reese's Cups.

My question is: will this be Imperium only, or will the xenos races be getting tanks as well?

It's probably not going to be full 40K tech trees, but rather a handful of premium tanks like they've done for 'Girls und Panzer'. Still, it'd be interesting to see Ork Warbuggies at low tier, with Adjectiveblades at tier VIII-IX-X. And :censored: , if they have the Glaive, it :censored:  well better CHOOM!! properly!

Well now. This is unexpected. But seeing as they've already delved into Valkyria Chronicles and GuP stuff, I'm can't say I'm overly surprised. The question is: Who made the overtures for this to happen - Wargaming or GW?

It's just a shame I don't play the Blitz version.

Yeah Im disappointed it's for blitz, but what were the chances we'd even get this in the first place? Now, are they adding these in as premium vehicles or something?

Yeah, they'll undoubtedly be premium. Just how good they'll be in-game will be anyone's guess (mine will be that they're... how should I put this... not very good at all).

What is WOT blitz? I play World of Warships daily, tried WoT and didn't care for it. Why wouldn't they do this for regular WOT?

It's basically the IOS and Android version of the game.

Also comes in Windows (via Steam) and Mac (Steam, App Store) versions.

So, update 4.3 begins the "Macragge's Thunder" event right out the gate.

- The "Ft. Despair" map has been reskinned as "Macragge". Same layout, but with Ultramarines iconography and 40K-ish buildings. The WWII era trucks scattered on the field have been replaced with galvanic servo-haulers. A bit brighter than usual, with white instead of Medieval-style buildings.

- The actual event period for earning the tanks begins on the 17th.

- The event tanks (Predator and Vindicator) will come with Ultramarines camo, with Imperial Fists and Dark Angels camo as premiums.

- For the event, your garage becomes a 40K battlefield, with tanks being placed on what appears to be a Skyshield Landing Pad with armoured containers surrounding it.

(Sneak peak video from an obviously non-40K player.)

Just to bring conclusion to this.

I played my hide off to get as much of the (absurdly high) collection requirements as possible.  By end of the event still had to drop $40 to get the gold necessary to by what I hadn't earned.  I'm okay with that though as I'm having an absolute blast with this.

The tanks themselves in game compared to others, are huge.  They're both wider than a Tiger tank.  I honestly thought the devs had made a mistake and based them off a landraider chassis instead of the rhino, when I first jumped into the game.

Vindicator is devastating!  Requires smart playing to get into a good position as it lack high penetration, but when it does hit, it packs a wallop.

Predator is a heavy tank with pretty good performance.

Usually when there's an event, I've found the tank rewards to be pretty bad.  Low penetration or just under performing.  I don't feel that with the Predator and Vindicator.  Overall I'm quite pleased and look forward to enjoying this whenever I play.

Would like to see a 40k tank game now :)
