Alright, so this idea has been bandied around a few times now, and in the absence of ETL this year smaller, more niche events certainly seem as if they'd be a blast.

What I'm suggesting is a conversion challenge utilising Necromunda's classic points and gang system, in a similar vein to the manner in which ETL was ran in the past. People pledge (are forcibly inducted?) themselves to a gang (cult! CULT! CULT! CULT!) and produce a complete conversion for x number of points (either using the games points system, or basic, across the board 'etc points for x model/s' system). I know not everyone is in favour of points-based challenges, however I feel as if it'd be a great way to capture some of the spirit of ETL, and encourage competetiveness between forum goers; and it'd certainly lead to some large gangs being created.

If this doesn't become a thing you'll have to worry about me modelling in Bolter & Chainsword speedos and trust me, there's a reason they call the aftermath post-traumatic stress disorder.

It's not a bad idea, but a bit too soon to be planning anything beyond the "Necromunda" bit  Worth a gander once we know more (hopefully soon) about the game and perhaps more important what models we can expect. For example the time frame for the various gang releases could mean holding off briefly for a larger pool as I'm sure many will have particular gangs they're aiming for.

With any luck GW will avoid the Blood Bowl issue of slow release, but as mentioned once we know a bit more I'm sure this can be revisited and an event planned out.

The one you suggested and were keen to organise/lead in this very subforum a couple of months back.

Since you said you had everything ready for it, why not launch and lead the Primaris challenge while you wait for more details about the new version of Necromunda to be revealed? It would be a shame for all of that work to end up not being used.

I'm not really in a good state of mind to host anything at the moment; and I imagine that's been showing recently. I've just lost my uncle, and I don't feel that I can commit to running anything.

Grot, I know you really fancied running the Primaris challenge. Please, go for it. It'd be awesome. :smile.:
