Sharrowkyn
http://www.blacklibrary.com/coming-soon/november/the-geld-mp3.html Saw this on the Black Library releases for Nov. I know we probably won't get new rules for Mor Deythan, but it's still interesting to know that in the 41st millennial the art of "Shadow-Walking" hasnt died out after all! Maybe the skill has come back with the Primaris and the introduction of Cawl's enhanced Raven Guard gene seed, stored since the Horus Hersey? SkimaskMohawk
Written by George Mann, so expect it to be bad. IIRC, David annandale had already had raven guard wraith slip like Sharrowkyn did, but Mann doesn't check other authors work for consistency. Even the blurb sucks, "long ago the mor deythan...were called the shadow masters" . Yes, mor deythan literally means shadow master... Sharrowkyn
Maybe the Knights of the Raven are Albinos too?! More mutations to the gene seed over time? Bigger question? Has the Primaris Gene seed eliminated all of the mutations that led to chapter traits? I noticed the recent White Dwarf article showed Raven Guard with normal skin colour, not the pale complexion we'd expect? Do Primaris Blood Angels suffer from the black rage etc? Claws and Effect
Actually a good point. We don't really know much about the Knights of the Raven. They very well could be albinos. It's not so different from the Raven Guard mutation that it couldn't happen more than once. ShinyRhino
I've enjoyed Mann's audio dramas. Interesting to see Koryn appears in this one, I wonder in what capacity. I'm thought about picking up one or two and using them as sgts for scout sniper units just because they look so cool. Shrieker
There's a short (Shadowmasters i think) where a MorDeythan reflects on his gift, which he attributes tentatively to a corvus helix gene quirk Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/338350-mor-deythan-coming-back-for-40k/#findComment-4892398 Share on other sites
