Dark vengeance models into Blood Angels

Hello Sons of Lion,

 

All is in the title, I got a Dark Vengeance box (well only the DA, not yet in my hands), and I would like to know if those of you who own it can answer my question:

Are the deathwing termies easily convertible into Blood Angels (shoulder pads ?) ?

For the tactical and the bikes, I assume it Will be easy job with the Blood Angels packs.

Iirc the pads are attached. You'll need to shave off the DA icons, though luckily for BA the wings kind of make sense. I made mins into a squad of ultra termies just by shaving of a lot of the iconography, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to pull off at all.

Completely do-able. A file would be best, but a sharp blade to scale of the icons on the pads would also work. Alternatively, a little more work, but using clippers, you can cut the pads off leaving a semblance of a shoulder, and attach the BA upgrade spruce (or blank) pads.

Snapfit models, so you'll have to work to make the BA. It's possible though, I did the same with the Space Hulk BA, converting them to DA.

The bikes have the feathered front guard like all the Ravenwing stuff, though they're still "angelic" for BA. The bikes also make it easy where some of the arms come up to trim them and replace with just a regular SM arm. But like everyone has said, the shoulders are molded and BOTH sides are DA unique on the Tacticals. I like the idea of just hacking off a big chunk of the upper arm and then sticking a new shoulder pad on. Might need to use a little green stuff. Because of their poses, it will be easier to do on the left shoulder (the ones on the right mold into the elbow). I also did the reverse with the Space hulk terminators. If you have to tear up any of the models too much, just glue purity seals on top to mask the gaps.
