DiscipleOfTheWord
I had the idea of having chaos symbols and slogans graffitied onto my renegade guard tanks, but I don't have an airbrush so I wasn't really sure how to do this. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/338433-painting-graffiti-on-tanks-without-an-airbrush/ Share on other sites
NovemberIX
Freehand would probably be fine, being chaos and all. You could also make a mask using some cardboard (or masking tape if you think you can get it to lay flat) and stipple on the paint with an old brush, or sponge it on. If the symbols are being done in white or black you could mask the tank then use a can of flat primer (technically you could use any flat paint color). DiscipleOfTheWord
That's a good idea, I could cut out a stencil and sponge it (They'll be in red, so I can't use my spray cans). That does mean I can't do small writing, but that was probably unreasonable anyway. I don't want to use freehand as it looks too 'clean', I reserve that for my Marines and their tanks. Anyway, thanks for the tip! PeteySödes
Sponge i think would be not super legible, i'll second NovemberIX's stipple idea. Either an old brush or a stippling brush specifically would be best. DiscipleOfTheWord
I used the stippling over a stencil idea, and it worked great. Thanks! For anyone wondering what the finished result looks like: Semper Fortis and PeteySödes 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/338433-painting-graffiti-on-tanks-without-an-airbrush/#findComment-4867080 Share on other sites
