Heretical alliance versus Hive Fleet Annihilation

Tonight i got paired with Chaos! 1k each, versus 2k Nids.

 

I fluffed it as me fighting the chaos scum, then doing a bro fist as nids overran the planet and tried to eat everyone.

 

Obviously i would have returned to killing the traitors after the bugs were squashed!

 

This time no psykers to oppose me.

 

Oh man. My Psychic phases were glorious!

 

We stole initiative! Nids tabled end of our turn 3. Well conceeded. As all that was left was the exocrine with 1w. The preds just failed to finish him off!

 

Chaos 3 preds took out a barbed hirodule, malanthrope and exocrine. Them things are naughty.

 

Two purge souls took out, can't remember the name. It had a 20 shot gun.

 

Deathleaper went for my GM with hammer and nemesis lord. Did no wounds. Was smashed in return.

 

GMNDK took out a mawlock and held up a trygon prime. GM killed the prime with 3 wounds doing 4 damage each.

 

It was brutal.

 

My 5 man Interceptor squads were laying waste with 20 overwatch shots and Warding staves.

 

In the end Chaos lost a 6 man warp talon squad and a pred was bought down to 2w.

 

I lost 1 5 man interceptor squad and the other 2 both lost 4 each with only the justicars remaining. GMNDK was taken down to 6w.

Can belive we had more deployments than the nids.

Think that was it. Fogot deathleaper. He came on 6" away from my gm. Charged. Did no wounds. Got nemesis lord hammer to face. Died.

 

Barbed hirodule got owned by killshot tri lc preds. And we only played that strat working on one out of the three preds during the game.

 

One thing i was surpassed about is how good a 5 man squads overwatch is.

 

After dropping in and wiping most of a squad, getting charged next turn i had 20 shots for overwatch.

 

Three preds are now everyone's number 1 target priority though!
