Jochteas
Does anyone have advice on magnetizing the Primaris Marines? I got the Dark Imperium set and I plan on building a Primaris army, I like to magnetize when ever i can and i know most of the models have options outside of what is given in the box, but I don't know really where to magnetize. Arms? Wrists? Backpack if necessary? Ive tried looking at a normal set sprue but I can't seem to find a good source. Grotsmasha
Looking at the sprues for both the Intercessor and Helblaster box sets, and comparing them to the actual DI sprues, your best bet for interchangeability is definitely the wrists. You'll want somethink like 1mm round x 2mm deep magnets as these will be small enough diameter to fit in the wrists, and deep enough to provide a strong attraction. Jochteas
the place i get magnets usually only does inches, 1/16" x 1/32" 1/8" x 1/16"3/16" x 1/16"1/4" x 1/16" etc,The first one being the smallest, would that be approximate? I Mean if you're absolutely confident only 2x1 mm will do it i'll order them online i don't mind. Also any thoughts on the Interceptors? Arkhanist
1/32" x 1/16" disc is basically the same magnet as a 1mm x 2mm for our purposes - it's the usual marine wrist magnet for americans (technically it's fractionally smaller). The higher the N number, the stronger the magnet - try and get N48 or N52 if you can. You can use larger magnets for shoulders and backpacks. 1/8" x 1/32" is a common one for that.
