This is for those of us, who are not 100% on board with how their legs look like. I trust I am not the only one? I might be getting a box of them in the (near) future and I was thinking about using green stuff to fill in the ankles and try to make them more in line with the other marine legs.

Has anyone done this, or seen it done? My sculpting skills are not great and if there is a tutorial somewhere, even better!

GW's pictures are doing them no favours, and I was absolutely in the same camp as you. But then I saw them in-person, and they really don't look so bad. In idea I will be trying is painting the lower legs in black, as if they were boots, as I think that will satisfy my subconscious. Failing that I'll also be greenstuffing one, you know, just to satellite my curiosity....

Cheers,

Jono

Please post your results if/when you do!

In all honesty I think the official photos don't do them justice -- the legs are pretty cool looking, though inherently different than the typical Space Marine armour.

Seeing them in hand it works, in particular with the lower collar and the smaller shoulder.

Ex ( ignore the illegal weapon choice - I'm making a custom Reiver captain ) :
