StaffyManasse
I know I have seen jump packs with only one (round) turbine on some (Heresy era?) minis, but can't seem to find the source. Anyone know a bits seller that sells ones like that? Or a kit that comes with one? I'm going for a primaris scale Shrike and I'm going to use either Dark Fury wings (can't find the actual jump pack sold anywhere, just the wings) or Sanguinary guard wings for a little more feathered approach (not my 1st pick). Any cool suggestions? edit. I feel like a jump pack with just one turbine would look better with the wings Edited September 1, 2017 by StaffyManasse Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/338925-jump-packs-with-only-one-turbine/ Share on other sites
Kinstryfe
The only one-turbine pack I know of is the Sanguinary Guard (MkIV) jumppack. Do you have a picture to link to show exactly what you're looking for? Do you have a picture to link to show exactly what you're looking for? Basically Dark Fury one, but I can't find the jump pack from Ebay, just the wings, so I am looking for a substitute, really. Kinstryfe
Gotcha. The most /affordable/ option would be the Sanguinary Guard packs, which are very similar to that, just a little less elongated and with the option for the feather wings on them. MkIV Pack http://i.imgur.com/T57bvsS.jpg It looks like aside from wing pieces, the biggest difference is the intake(?) grill is much taller on the FW piece. EDIT: also the little nub on each side. I know from other posters that it can be hard to find the SG packs at a good price, but thankfully the kit isn't /that/ expensive and has tons of cool parts, so if you just need 5-10 packs, it's not the worst contribution you can make to your bitzbox... Closet Skeleton
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/MKIV-Space-Marine-Assault-Squad Not that I'd suggest buying those over san' guard but that's where some of the heresy players will have got theirs. Quixus
Thanks for the help guys! edit. I found these: https://puppetswar.eu/product.php?id_product=267 I think they are pretty close. Anyone got experience with Puppetswar? I have never seen any of the puppetswar packs mounted on space marine bodies. If you look a the Puppetswar bodies which are supposed to take those packs, their geometry is quite different to the standard marine torso. So you might need to do a lot of cutting and/or greenstuffing to get those to fit. As for the company their shipping times are pretty long even just from Poland to Germany (but not longer than advertised), and there is quite a bit of flash on their bits. The resin itself also feels more brittle than the stuff anviilindustry uses. I made those experiences a couple of years ago, so their manufacturing and distribution techniques might have changed. Elzender
Spellcrow also makes similar jump packs: http://www.spellcrow.com/space-knights-jump-packs-ver-p-297.html?currency=GBP Actually, they seem a bit more similar to the dark furies jump packs than regular mkIV jump packs. The price isn't too bad either, so even if you need only one it's not a whole infantry box you're buying. Shipping costs may be a problem, though.
