A Friends Guard being updated, Old Pics & New

just hosting some pics of a friends Guard army, he's redoing them with the new GW Bases and re painting the Fatigues in a Fenris Grey...trying for an urban theme. will note that he has used all scout heads on this unit...i didn't realise till i was taking the pics... and went huh...somethings different about em ...

here are the new Wip pics of his force, i will show some pics of how they used to look beforehand after these ones...

i think these 2 count as a hvy wpn team...

*note that he sculpted on goggles...this was before Forgeworld did the guard rebreather heads with goggles.

In about fourteen years of playing Imperial Guard I've never realised/seen how painting on gloves could make them look so much more tactic00l.

Chopped off lasgun looks like good counts as shotgun if you drill a few barrels... (/steals idea)

O.K.,for those that asked for the old camo colours, i asked my mate to take a trip back in time to when he did it and this from his vague recollection of it is the colour's used...

 

Base - Astronomicon Grey followed by the camo pattern of - Black, Eshin grey & white.

it's kinda funny, we discussed this last night how people asked about the old scheme and how funny it is that he hates the old scheme cause he's looked at it for years   and he always wanted an urban/Arbite/judge dredd and appleseed (one of his favourite's) influenced force...

i guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder
