Just a few pics of some WIP models that I wouldn't mind some feedback on, I haven't got round to taking many more photos and these three were the only ones I was happy sharing, but please, ideas/suggestions/constructive slandering.

First up, Wolf Guard shoulder pad with...some kind of linework decal.

The base on the long Fang sergeant is excellent

I like the knot work on the the first Wolf Guard. Looks painted rather than a decal, which is a massive thumbs up.

Reminiscent of the wyrm design from HH7: Inferno used by 30K space wolves. I am curius why you went with red nd gold rather than the traditional yellow and black?

Fish scae also looks okay, coul almost pass for a dragon scale pattern

Coming along nicely. My only suggestions would be a wash of some sort to get into those armor crevices. They really do add a level of depth to models, and fairly simple and quick.

The only other thing is just my own personal taste, and that is to paint the base itself (the rim) a different color. It just bothers me for some reason when they are the same as the main armor color. But again, that's just a personal thing.

And bravo doing some freehand. I've been putting that off for a long while...

Thanks chaps.

Yes it is hand painted, painted and redone about 3 times before I was happy with it! I went with red/gold because I love the Anglo-Saxon gold and red garnet jewellry from Sutton Hoo, and one of our old Codex' the guy on the front had loads on his shoulders. I didn't get any of the HH FW books but yeah I really should see what other little details I can find from them.

I really should put a wash on, probably before I do any more basing...Don't want to darken them too much though so not sure what to use. I'm going to give the bases a go over with chaos black, just on the rims, maybe a squad marker on the back so I know who is who. Only reason its the same colour atm is because of the sprayed base coat.
