I read that Blood Claws gain an extra attack on the charge and have to charge if possible - rules which I see on the Swiftclaws and Skyclaws, but not on the Blood Claws when looking at the enhanced iPad Index.

Can someone confirm if those rules are supposed to be in the Blood Claws entry?

Also, not of any particular import, but why is "Blood Claws" two separate words when "Skyclaws" and "Swiftclaws" are single words? This is the kind of :cuss from GW that makes me twitch when I'm trying to write my army lists!

Blood Claw is an older term, going back to the very origins of the Wolves as a distinct variety of Marine. Sky and Swiftclaw are a result of the more recent 'everything has to have a copyrightable name' trend GW have been on. Back in the day they were just 'Blood Claws with Jump Packs' and 'Blood Claw Bikers'. So yeah, the names were created about 15 years apart (and GW are bad at editing, just look at the whole 'who commanded the 13th Company?' mess), hence the different convention.

Just to clarify while we're talking blood claws, they have 1 attack base, +1 attack for the chainsword and a further +1 attack on the charge. So 2 attacks base and 3 when charging correct?

Correct. In theory, if they live until your next round of combat, they could shoot their pistols in the shooting phase, giving them another 3 attacks (1 shooting, 2 melee), although I have yet to see a fight last that long when involving MEQ units.

The enhanced edition has now been updated so correctly show the Blood Claws USR.

The update however has changed the point value tables at the back so named characters now incorrectly show 'wargear is not included' at the top of the column.

Some thing to be aware of if you don't have access to another version of the Index
