Though I am leaning more towards the company veterans on bikes. It's looking like the power axe and thunder hammer are the better melee options for this kind of shock unit... depends on your ideal target, though. Good movement combined with their T5 and extra wound make them ideal for charging down valuable hellblasters or killing of a potent melee monsterous creture. Brother Christopher Posted September 6, 2017 Share Posted September 6, 2017 As cool as they are, I think that they aren't worth it. With the point difference between the Codex and Index, and removal of the option of Bike Veterans from the former, you pay a hefty cost in points for +1A and some weapons options, when compared to regular Bikers who are best used as a mobile fire base (and you can take 2 special weapons plus a combi on the sergeant plus a competitively priced attack bike). They are essentially a psychological weapon, they look very scary and move fast. They sound scary on paper. In reality they are really only good against infantry.
