CCE1981
I am going through the codex and index to try and figure out the best model I can use as a Chapter Champion. My Chapter will have elements from all the Marine Codicies so it doesn't matter where I take him. Since it is my DIY I can fluff out abilities, for example maybe a Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard Ancients banner ability and calling the ability "Inspring Presence". Ideally I would like the Chapter Chapion to have an Invulnerable save, and right now I am seeing either a Space Wolf Wolf Guard Battle Leader or the Black Templars Emperor's Champion. Kasper_Hawser
As Space Wolves don't have successor chapters, we only have one real champion worthy of the name who is also a named character: Arjac Rockfist who is essentially a souped up Wolf Guard Terminator who rerolls all hits on characters along with the customary reroll 1s to hit. He is also naturally S5 therefore S10 with his unique thunderhammer which has no penalty to hit, and can be thrown at BS3+ at 12". So long story cut short, if you are going for a Space Wolf looking champion, choose a Wolf Guard Battle Leader in terminator armour. If you REALLY want to win and drink the tears of your enemy, well, as much as I hate it, the Wolf Guard Battle Leader on Thunderwolf is quite powerful as well, if ridiculous looking. Valerian
Space Wolves now do in fact have a successor Chapter: the Wolfspear. We know almost nothing about them, other than that they're a fully Primaris Chapter. We also know nothing of the Primaris Marines or how they or organized, or if the Primaris Marines from the non-codex chapter are still non-codex. Sete
Use a lone wolf dude. Taking the Templars as an example, the Primaris have their own structure, hence they don't form crusader squads. Dunno how is gonna work for Wolves. But you have to consider that despite being Non Codex, BT are treated as one with the exception of crusader squads, which at the moment aren't present in the Primaris organisation. So who knows.
