ERJAK
Idk if you guys have seen this yet but the pre-order description of the Omnibus describes SoB as a 'perenially popular part of the 40k universe' and I saw red a little bit. OH YEAH we're so freaking perenially popular we haven't even gotten a model update in 20 years. They're doing it on purpose at this point. Carlson793
Or, go the other way: In spite of their models not being updated for 20 years, people still buy them in sufficient quantities to warrant GW continuing to sell them. That sounds like a faction that's 'perennially popular'. dracpanzer, sedibear and CaptainHelion 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339190-perenially-popular/#findComment-4881521 Share on other sites

Mossback
I think our faith that someday we will get new models and our own Codex defines us. Much like the Sororitas unwavering faith in a long dead emperor, we hold steadfast that someday our devotion will be rewarded. dracpanzer
I immediately took it as a compliment to our refusal to let the army die. Back to painting stormbolter Doms... ERJAK
I mean yeah, it's a bit of a compliment, but you know what would be a better one? New models. Or at least restock stormbolters girls, lol. Still, I bought the set and am excited to finally get to read books from an SoB point of view, where I'm pretty sure they don't die toooooo horribly in the end. WarriorFish
Indeed, it's a tacit admission of GW's failure to live up to that popularity. They're saying "even though SoB haven't had new models (aside from one special model) in years people still love them". Could any other army say the same? dracpanzer
I do enjoy seeing a Sister of the Order of the Martyred Lady with black hair though. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339190-perenially-popular/#findComment-4882522 Share on other sites
