Yup, probably a re-pack for 8th just like the Scout Bikes.

Why would you need to make your predator into a razorback? Predators are in the index and marine codex. Probably new box art. A bunch of start collecting boxes became no longer available when they changed them from white to black boxes.

I enquirer to GW and they confirmed it was definitely NOT discontinued, and indeed probably just a repack to match the branding of the 8th stuff.

They need a new, updated LR kit. So much wasted space at the moment. They should have made up the costs by now, right?

 

Double for rhino/razorback kit though a recut of the extra weapons would be a good middle ground.

As for OP's post, it's too bad GW couldn't bite the bullet and merge the Predator, Baal, Rhino, and Razorback kits into a single box set (without effectively charging for every option). Save shelf space and you can modularize for any variant.

Would be a dream.. I honestly think I would be happy with them just adding all weapon options to their boxes. *cough* assault cannon upgrade to razorbacks.

Oh god, don't even get me started on how ridiculous their weapon option:availability ratio is. Standard dreadnought vs venerable for instance, same price while the venerable has more options both regarding armament and aesthetics.

I know you aren't being serious but there is a reason why "Repulse" is part of the name "Repulsor". It "Repulses" standard marines so bad that only Bigly marines can enter.

 

With that said, I specifically don't find the thing bad. But it does stink that only numarines are able to get into it.

I really wish the reason that it was down was because they were fixing the sponsons as they break so easily. The sponsons on the Baal are much more durable and can be used instead, but only have the heat bolter as an option and no lascannon. I think when and if I ever get around to building a las predator I'll use leman russ sponsons, it would be a good homage to the old metal predator from 2nd edition too. They do need to re-do the sponsons on the normal predator kit. They're garbage. Take a hint from the Baal Predator and re-work them that way.

Edit - by "they" I mean the regular and Baal versions both seem to be available.
