Ch@oZ
Hello everybody I've just purchased some 1:35 terrain to use for games of 40k- specifically a kit called a "Lithuanian city house" It's supposed to look like this finished: http://www.modellbaustube.com/images/mar35504d.jpg Scalewise this is what it looks like next to some Death Guard: Essentially the question here is: should i shorten it all by two "lines" of the facade? It certainly seems doable, but do you think it'd be worth the effort? On the plus side I'd get a building that can be shot in and out of, the downside being the amount of cutting and rebuilding involved... I was thinking of cutting the second and third lines out and using it as a backstrip for structure on what's left. Worth it? Slave to Darkness
Yeah cut that bad boy up!!! I'm glad you made this thread actually because I was eyeing up that building a while ago, now I know how big it is next to some Marines I might pick one up. Marshal Rohr
NOOOOO, dont. Most building's bottom floors don't rest on the ground. There would be a several foot tall crawl space under the flooring holding the floor up and running ductwork. Slave to Darkness
If you build the floor up you will have to alter the doorway as well and build steps. Then you have to worry about the second floor. Brother Pheidias
Make a few steps up to a raised ground floor, perhaps even a slanted ramp. Would look great IMHO Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339394-135-terrain-scale-for-40k-a-question-of-scaleexample/#findComment-4888699 Share on other sites
