Using a Stormraven makes it easier to get 1st turn, bar your opponent seizing, since you can consolidate drops.

3 razorbacks with lascannons provide the same amounts of transport room and cost about the same. More targets, so easier to deal with killshot.

Stormtalons might be a great answer.

5 points more expensive than a quad lc pred. But with -1 to be hit and +1 to hit (well that only offsets the penalty for it having to move...).

Only 2 LC shots, but also a twin AC. And as durable as a razor as the T6 to T7 doesn't matter.

Single killshot pred versus razor;

4 shots. 3.12 hits. 2.6 wounds. 2.17 unsaved. Damage 8.68

Versus StormTalon;

4 shots. 2.34 hits. 1.95 wounds. 1.63 unsave. Damage 6.52

Both would live when facing a single Killshot Pred. But while the ST is 80 points more expensive than the Razor it fares better.

No transport capacity though. But can't have everything!

We've no terrain that will block los to an NDK.

Just model it like it's in a foetal position (or a cannonball in the pool, take your pick). Much easier to hide!

Take an imperial knight crusader? Has invul save, cast sanctuary on it with a nearby squad to up that save, unload dakka from across the field. He's 500 points, but has the wounds to tank the hits, shield against them, and can dish it back out whether your first or second. Can still have massed troops with some heavier units to kill the flack and charge in.

Can't cast sanctuary, it doesn't have the Grey Knights keyword

Indeed it can't, thus a squad nearby to cast sanctuary on it. Unless you mean you have to be gk to be the target of the spell ?

I mean that the spell specifies that you gave to be a grey knight to receive it, and I'm pretty sure you can't designate am imperial knight as belonging to faction 'Grey Knights'.

Wouldn't like to swear to that last bit as I don't have my index handy, but the fact that IK will be rolled into the Adeptus Mechanicus book suggests you can't do it

Thankfully. Mixing and matching shouldn't be encouraged as much, it creates a precedent for people creating over the top armies that really aren't fun to play against. The Imperium keyword is already on a ton of units, I actually feel like it's too many at times. It generally works from a narrative perspective, thankfully. Save for Cypher being able to fit in a Dark Angels 'Imperium' army now, that's just stupid :P .

Anyhow, back on topic: if you want to make sure you don't have anything They can target, it pretty much means GMNDK are deep striking in. They're good at killing tanks with psybolt ammunition though, especially if they have the gattling psylencer and heavy Psycanon. If you can survive a turn where they are not on the board, you should be fine. You can use footfolk to clear chaff and make sure you have a landing zone.
