Well I saw this on Twitter and to be honest it really made me sad :(

We all knew eventually it would end but After more than 10 years could the Horus Heresy series finally be reaching the final conclusion within the next couple of years??? If so it would truly be heart breaking that such a great book series which has helped to fully expand on the Heresy which previously was only small snippets in codex or rulebooks to 40+ novels detailing mighty battles, tales of heroics as well as shocking betrayals and answered the questions in why the Primarchs and their legions betrayed the Emperor and how those still loyal sought to stop their brothers.

Truly a great experience so far and can't wait to see how possibly one of the greatest and longest book series will end (and who writes it )

I hope they end all the important characters storylines satisfactorily, and that this won't mean a big rush to the conclusion, leaving some stuff in the way. Right now we have the Night Lords not in the mood to be on Terra, with Sevatar supposedly prisoner still, and Curze on Macragge in chains too. IMO they would need at least a novel (like Path to Heaven) to cover their journey to the Throneworld. Also there's Caliban storyline, with Typhon, who was supposed to be on the way to Terra corrupting the Death Guard, playing with Luther. Russ in Yarant too... Anyway maybe FW's books would cover the rest.

The ending of this series would let pass to another one. I know it would probably be the Scouring, but a part of me whishes an Old Night series. It would be more interesting in my opinion, and something different from SM vs SM.

I hope this isn't a case of . . .

BL: A lot of people complained about books like Outcast Dead, Nemesis, Damnation of Pythos *pause* That must mean they just want to read less. I know how we can make it up to them! Let's gloss over the Siege!

I hope this isn't a case of . . .

I haven't read the Damnation of Pythos yet, but The Outcast Dead and Nemesis were quite refreshing books. They gave different view of the Heresy.

If you think 2020 is 'soon' - think again ;)

People complain about them not because they does not have the right to live. But because they were POORLY WRITTEN.

LONG LIVE THE SCOURING!

It will have some good bits. But in general it would be less than Horus Heresy.

For someone who hasn't kept up since the early books but played HH heavily. Have any of the IW books detailed Golg or Kyr Valen?

Angel Exterminatus has some snippets. And Crimson Fist novella have parts on Golg.

That's because there are threads on this subject all over the forum. There's plenty of anticipation for some of the upcoming HH stuff, and people clamouring for books that won't actually advance the core narrative

To be honest. The fact that a thread about the possible ending of the primary source of background only has 11, now 12 replies.

Confirms that the time to end the series has come.

I'm personally not sure there's enough content in that tweet to reach any conclusions.

I'd rather they took their time and closed out all of the little storylines floating around.  I'd also like them to expand on what happened during the Late Heresy period.  It feels like the last few years of the war are going to be largely skipped.  But I don't actually know any of that.

Bad choice. For example - 3 novels, 3 audios, 4 shorts mentioned apocalyptic warfare at Beta-Garmon. Try to skip that after 'advertisement'. I think they will cover now only event's in the FW HH timeline.

We are right now at the year 11-12. 2 years with apocalyptic conflicts are still ahead
