Hi guys!

Before being a Mechanicus adept, I was a "proud" member of the 8th Legion.

So, when forge world released Konrad, I fell in love. In my opinion, it's still the most beautiful character made by Forge world.

He was painted a few years ago (in fact, the month following his release) and today I took some pics to show you my work.

I hope you will like it! :smile.:

First, Konrad and his base:

And now some bigger shots:

Very impressive. I like that your blue is darker than other renditions and that your reds are more subdued.

Your painting has really pulled out the "brutality" inherent in the sculpt.

Bravo!

great paintjob, looks good. However, the model reminds me of fantasy battle orcs, particularly savage orc shamans with all those skulls, bones and skins

Thank you.

You're right, there is a lot of skins, bones and skulls on this model, it's quiet fun to paint in fact.

Excellent work.

Thanks!

Yes, he is quiet darker than most of the others seen on the internet. I'm quiet annoyed by other renditions with ligther blue armour, because fluff wise, his armour is suppposed to be as dark as the night and i don't know for you, but in Belgium the night sky is quiet dark. ^^

Is there a helmed version for this piece?

Epic paint job by the way!

Thank you!

There is no helmed version of him, but i think that a raptor helm could suit well.

Nice! The use of silver instead of gold for the trim makes it for me. I love the colder, crueler feel it gives him.

Probably my favourite Primarch sculpt so far too.

The paint Job really does the model justice.

Fantastic job!

Thanks to both of you! :)

Love the face, better than the FW effort.

Thank you very much!

Wonderfully executed!

Thanks a lot! :)

Truly excellent work, thanks for sharing.

Putting the Grim back in Grimdark is always a winner with me.

May I ask what your recipe for the face is?

:biggrin.:

Stobz

Grimdark is love, grimdark is life :D

For the face, if i remember well, it's a mix of Rakarth flesh and White scar (lot of white). The highlights are in pure white, and I used some Leviathan purple (with a lot of water) for the shadow. That's all!
