They might have the basic axes, daggers and clubs, but probably only one of each special weapon /big melee weapon.

Better hope you weren't planning on melee blobs, because you can't turn to the snap fit kits to complete your 10 man squads. Also get your converting tools out if you don't want every seargent to have a power fist and have at least 1 launcher per squad.

I have 13 PMs currently. 2x5 man squads with plasma (I converted some DI models). I then have the three EB ones. 7 man box is naughty (as is terminator box etc) but I'm OK with the 7 man box. I can finish my blight launcher squad and have 5 left over for a 4th 5 man squad. I've only run my marines in 5s for a while now and use a lot of poxwalkers lol

Yeah, I'm sure they'll screw is with weapon options after screwing us with model count and price.

More than likely.

I have started painting up my blood angels now (other army project) so I can wait to see what is what regarding the DG release....save me getting too excited and just buying everything lol.

Kinda sucks about being 7 and I assume they won't have all the options but it's a good thing I have a tone of the dark Imperium, easy to build, plague Brethren and lots of Blight King bits so I should easily be able to convert a good deal of them to the desired loadout with little hassle

still no news on the haulers??

as a long time DG player i'm glad i have the old metal models. i like the thematic of them so much more than these guys, and I finally don't feel too bad about them only having a very restricted number of casts as the new ones have pretty much the same issue. Kind of sad about the hundreds of hours spent converting a helldrake, oblitorators, bikers etc which now look too nurgly not to have bonus rules, wish GW would let me just pay a premium if i want to do this rather than constantly cutting and changing armies.

Meh!  My only real concern now is what makes the best blight launcher conversion for the old metal models??

Hoots

Aaaaaaaaand we're back. And at full speed too. Huzzah!

So uh, anyone find it a bit strange that there wasn't a "Next Week's Preorders" article today? Kinda weird that they wouldn't tell us if at least the Hauler's coming.

There was an article posted to say that Shadespire would be up for order on the 14th earlier this month - it's possible this took the place of their 'coming next week' article. I think we'll see the haulers.

Alternative theory: GW have decided to prolong the DG release by another 6 months just to show who's boss

I assume they're coming, since as far as we know it's the only kit left. It's more about why they're not telling us with the "Next Week" article like they've been doing with everything for a while now. It's kinda weird, since anyway we're gonna most likely know tomorrow or the next day thanks to the info they send to stores.

No mention of the hauler kit in the new White Dwarf was odd? All the other DG kits covered but no mention of the hauler, we know it's coming but it seems strange to not preview the kit in WD?

Maybe we have to wait until the new nurgle beast and GUO are released ;)

Man, the Plague Marines are so disappointing I thought it would be impossible to build up any more ill will with the deathgaurd release. Guess I was wrong, since the haulers are getting pushed back even further.

Still can't get over just 4 daggers and 3 axes. Can't even do a basic melee loadout of 6 2xdaggers.

I think it's a typo and that there's only

2 axes...

Looking at it, between:

Dark imperium

Etb box

Plague brethren

Sassy nurgling with champion

Plague marine box

Would give 3 7 man squads and you could have a squad with:

Cleaver

Flail

Axe + mace

Champion

2 special weapons

Dude with knife

That'd give you a combat squad and look cool. No duplicates but the sprues are jam packed and I'm unsure what else they could do?

White Dwarf usually doesn't include pre-orders that go up past the 15th. Only Morty was in White Dwarf last month despite the Deathshroud/Blightlords, etc going up in September.

Another week and still no news on the Hauler, only Eldar on the horizon.

This seems really weird, but now I'm starting to pay some attention to the couple of people that said that it could come as a dual kit with Nurgle Daemons, explaining its lack of weapon options in favour of extra bits for an alternate build. I still think there's way too much mechanical stuff in there to be a dual kit, but I'm starting to seriously consider it. That or it entered production much later than the rest of the range, explaining why there's just one picture of it in the whole Codex.

I really wish they'd stop being so awfully secretive about it all though. Just tell us the kit isn't ready yet and maybe an estimate date, it's not that hard. Keeping quiet only gets people riled up.
