Hey all just thought I would share my build and paint of Morty. I built and primed 8 subassemblies and in the process of painting. Sleep be damned for the next couple of nights! My plan is with this slow release of DG units to get a unit built and painted by the time the next one drops and then Ill have a painted DG army by the end! Any comments are greatly appreciated :)

Had a busy weekend so I didn't get as far as I wanted but still made some progress:

 

I know the red is going to throw some people off, but I like the contrast of bright red with the dirty white. Plus I saw on the forgeworld Typhus, they had red cloth under the chainmail. Ill take a group pic of everything when Im done with Morty

I actually quite like the red, but it's coming off a little... Glossy? I feel like if you dulled it down a bit, and weathered it to appear a little stained, it would look a bit more natural

Good idea! Maybe splash some Nulin Oil on it or some earthshade on the bottom. I washed in the red Wash (crimson something I think) so I think that is what is giving the glossy appearance. Thanks for the suggestion

Stayed up a little late last night but I got an arm and the base done! Im still working out on how to weather the red robes a bit more. It doesn't help any I am taking these photos under a bright Ott Light, so the robes aren't as shiny in normal lighting conditions.

ok so long time no update but Ive ran into a problem:

I cant seem to upload the photos because it says they are too big of a file! Anyone know of a work around? Im using an iPhone to take the photos and then posting on a computer (from work shhhhhh). in the mean time I did get this chaos lord done:
