MkIII Black Templars?

Before I order the bitz, I wanted to verify as I'm not for sure and I have this feeling they might not work:

 

Do the standard Black Templar transfers (like what you'd get with a standard 40k Tactical Marine box) fit the shoulder pads of 30k Mk3 Marines (the plastics, if that matters)?

 

Eyeballing things, the metal trim on the Mk3 pads make their main plate look a little smaller than the typical Mk7 type pads, whereas the BT crosses seem a little on the larger (or at least taller) end of the chapter transfers.

 

Anyone know if this would work? Or would I need to free-hand crosses on the Mk3 pads? I'm fine if it's a tighter fit that requires careful trimming right around the transfer to get it to fit, but I'm worried that the top and/or bottom of the cross would actually overlap the trim or have to be cut off to make it work.
