Over on The Dark City (Dark Eldar forum) we have a thread to collect strategies and tell tales of our battles. I am really fond of that thread and so I am opening the gates to the Septic Archives!

Here you can share tactics you have found to be working very well (or failing miserably so that others may learn from it) as well as tell us the stories of your battles.

Did a unit perform really well, maybe did something amusing or failed you utterly? Tell us all about it here.

Boast about your victories or lament your defeats - the Septic Archives will gather your tales!

Feel free to share some homebrew fluff about your armies and their battles as well.

Had a Lord of Contagion backed up by Tainted Regeneration and some judicious stratagem rerolls survive more firepower and Smite spam than anything else in the army, standing firm in the face of bolters, autocannons, and various attempts to brain him. He regenerated 6 wounds over the course of the battle, and caused no end of frustration for my opponent by his sheer refusal to die. Every single Smite or shot that he absorbed was one less directed at my troops.

I can't wait to have him wander around with some Blightlords.

EDIT: I think the best moment he had was when the full fury of a Forgefiend on full power was *just* enough to bring him down.

Played 2000 points vs some White Scars today. Almost tabled my opponent by turn 2. He had only bikes and a flyer.

Highlight were my Blightlord Terminators dropping down, shooting four Bikes to smouldering goop with their Combi-Plasma, then weathering an entire turn of shooting from multiple Grav-Bike-Squads (they were in cover and had Miasma of Pestilence on them). Then they got charged and killed another four bikers. The Blightlord Termi with his Flail of Corruption seemed to be blessed by Papa Nurgle's strength as he took out two bikers on his own. Flail + DttfE is really strong!

Another highlight was my Lord of Contagion (w/ Fulgaris' Helm and the mortal wound warlord trait) killing an Apothecarius, two bikers, a Champion and a Librarian in combat. He mocked his foes as they tried to overwhelm him with their numbers and their blades and hammers couldn't find purchase in his flesh.

I also proxied a Tallyman who managed to give me one of my CP back (yay!) and a Plagueburst Crawler who did okay. He killed four bikers and mopped up some others.

May the Septic Archives remember this victory for all eternity! :D
