Dragonlover
I need a case that'll fit 30 Marines, 2 autocannon Predators without sponsons and 3 Rhinos. I would like to buy this case from KR for as cheap as possible. Any idea what foam and case I should get? The reason I'm asking you lot is I tried to buy one the other week and... well if 40K was a 15mm game I'd be laughing. I just can't follow their website at all, and they haven't responded to my email. Dragonlover
duz_
I like the GW ones they do a good job. KR is a pain to figure out! Standard = general pre cut or pluck foams Custom is army / game specific cuts but then you have to sort through what you need and the differences. Once I figured that out their auto fill / suggestion app is a bit easier to use. D3L 1 Back to top
Steel Company
I use cases by Underwater Kinetic, they are a competitor to Pelican. Their cases have pull and pluck foam, come in many sizes and colours, are water proof, dust proof and have pressure release valves on them. Blindhamster
I use KR myself, have the backpack 4 and the super large case for a thunderhawk, plus a bunch of spare foam inserts
Leif Bearclaw
You might need a KR double case for that many tanks and the infantry, you'll have some spare space, but that's just room to collect more dudes . For tanks, I've found the large pick and pluck trays the best, they fit a Rhino hull vertically (standing on the rear door) pretty well. I've used the full size trays, which are code D1T, but you might be able to fit 5 tanks into a half tray (if you can then a single case will probably suffice). The code for the half tray is D1H. For the Marines, I think the one's I use are the 23mm deep ones. It's M4T for the full tray and M4H for the half. They're fine for normal Marines, but I've found the F4 H/T trays better for Terminator sized models. If you want Primaris, I don't have first hand experience, but I'd probably go for either the TDA F4s, or the slightly deeper (32mm) M3 or F3 trays. Hope this helps. Blindhamster
You can fit 3 rhinos into half a box, two predators will take up another half. So yeah, 2 KR Units
gitface
Are the Pred turrets removable, if so you could use this tray: https://www.krmulticase.com/product/trays/SM11+SM11?m=GW&s=WH40K&a=SM Two of these would cover 40 Marines: https://www.krmulticase.com/product/trays/SM58?m=GW&s=WH40K&a=SM That would leave you with 1/2 width 1/3 height for say some pick and pluck for odds and ends. https://www.krmulticase.com/product/trays/D3H All in one case. Dragonlover
Would the KRM Standard card case be the correct one to fit that foam into? This one for reference: https://www.krmulticase.com/product/cases/KRM Dragonlover

M@verik115
KR aren't too bad but they are very budget. Especially if you get the cardboard one and it somehow gets wet... not a fun experience. I've recently picked up a crusade case and im really tempted to get another haha. It stores pretty much everything I have without problems except for vehicles. 1 crusade case is good for a large SM army with vehicles, or if you are like me you can store all of your armies infantry in 1 case. I've managed to store my black templars, grey knights, imperial fists, admech, death guard and primaris marines all in one case. The 2nd one will be for my cadians and vostroyans. duz_
Fyi GW cases don't do well with metal minis because the vertical spacers aren't glued to the bases If you want to put metal minis in put them in the very bottom foam. I found out the hard way what happens when the foam sags. :( M@verik115 1 Back to top
Dragonlover
I ordered the KR stuff from upthread, hopefully it shows up tomorrow. Dragonlover
Ishagu
I think one box is more than enough if you can remove the Turrets from the Predators. I fit in 5 Rhinos, a Landraider and 20 Marines in one KR box for example.
Dragonlover
It showed up today, everything fit with gobs of room to spare, which is handy if I ever expand the army to 2k. Dragonlover
Ishagu
Yeah, I lug around 8k points of Ultras with me when I go to the club, all in a big KR bag with 4 cases.

Cheatle
I like the Battlefoam CasesYou could even design your own foam for them!
Dragonlover
Yes, you also pay through the nose for the privilege at Battlefoam and I'm not exactly rolling in it at the moment. Hence, KR. Dragonlover
