Hertz
Hi guys, sorry to to barge in here to this longhaired part of the forum uninvited but hopefully this is well recieved! I found, and are backing a kickstarter, that has have some plastic fantasy&sci-fi warrior women coming up, of space viking / paladin flavour, and some other random stuff. But most interestingly, this thing: (All the different versions are there, transport, tank, and intermediate, and the decoration is supposedly loose bits, so you can have an armada with every vehicule looking different.) Its ATM in resin, so not a supergood deal at 40$, but if they get the funds for it, they said they tool it in plastic. And mentioned something about changing one resin tank for three in plastic. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1273312680/war-is-coming-warmaidens-and-dragonbreds/description Thoughts? RikuEru
Wow... Daughters of Russ... To be honest, I am fighting with my inner wolf right now. I would NOT need more infantry... I have about 3 sprues of MkIII and 4 sprues of MkIV and probably another 50 or more in regular Mk6/7. ...but the thought of counts-as Sororitas (or SoS once all their choices get 8th Ed. Rules) has been ringing at the back of my head since their first Shieldmaiden Teaser. Yeah it is really tempting, isn't it?! went for a 50$ pledge, that basically give me two boxes, ie. 40 ladies of any flavour. Depending on how they'll look when we get that far, it'll be either space wolf sisters, or Sisters of battle... But honestly, I'd take these vehicules together with the GW space wolves, and their sisters with the GW rhinos. If they get to cheap plastic tanks. I just might go a bit loco though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339754-relevant-vehicules-on-kickstarter/#findComment-4894072 Share on other sites

Statt a kickstarter and then cancel. Ah damn, what was the first one cancelled for do you know? Id be reluctant to fund any cash if this does go back up if this is a recrring theme with these guys :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339754-relevant-vehicules-on-kickstarter/#findComment-4903403 Share on other sites
Guest
They did another one for orcs/goblins. A big hint to be a fake is statements like "this is not a preorder" which means that you paying for the project only and no products. So when they cancel you get nothing. Lars the Red
And then how does that work with your pledge? Are you just out the cash? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339754-relevant-vehicules-on-kickstarter/#findComment-4903446 Share on other sites
Guest
I believe they can claim they used all the funds and just simply keep it. Not a lawyer by any means. Paypal stopped reimbursing kickstarter pledges and it has become increasingly difficult to get money back. It is unfortunate that what could be great venues for new ideas, also attract scammers. Kassill
Yeah, kickstarter as an idea is great (and I have backed stuff before), but it can be super shady and I'd always caution people throwing money at any project. Hertz
Well, in this case, they cancelled the project, for certain reasons; basically the project became unfocused and bloated when they tried to cater to to many armies at once, and on top of that they got emails pretending to a claim that they infringed on IP of a other company. Apparently those mails where fakes. This meant that the money we pledged where never drawn, so no prob. We only lost air. This company have made 5 kickstarter projects I think, and this is the second one they cancelled just to restructure it. So I guess that in a few weeks the project comes up again, but streamlined and focused for better effect.
