abovdameta
Salutations All, I was just wondering if anyone is able to clarify some info on ndks. Where are they created? are they created on Mars? Deimos? then shipped to titan? Are they created on Titan by the actual GK chapter? I tried checking all the wikis i could find and the past gk codexes unless i missed it. Any kind attention to the matter is greatly appreciated. Stay unwavering, -Abovdameta Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339834-nemesis-dreadknight-origins/ Share on other sites
Gentlemanloser
I'd assume Deimos. But i don't think it's stated anywhere. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339834-nemesis-dreadknight-origins/#findComment-4896053 Share on other sites
Adeptus
I too, would assume Deimos. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339834-nemesis-dreadknight-origins/#findComment-4896439 Share on other sites

Reclusiarch Darius
Looking at the DK model and background, you can see the very obvious repurposing of Cybernetica battle robot technology. Basically they just replace the augmented brain with an actual pilot. Also its been scaled up and redesigned for speed, and incorporates the same Aegis technology contained in the conventional infantry armour of the Chapter. Plus they would have to put psy-conduits through the chassis to the weapons so the pilot can still use his battle sorcery and power the unconventional weapons of the Dreadknight. As far as construction goes, I think like nemesis weapons, its such a bespoke and rare piece of tech that it would be done on Titan itself. Looking at the codex, the Chapter only has a few dozen suits, and each one of them is a priceless relic (not to mention the even rarer Grandmaster exo-suits). The Tech-Marines probably request a lot of raw battle-robot parts for the construction and maintenance, but there would be too much sorcery and psy-engineering for them to involve Deimos directly. abovdameta 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/339834-nemesis-dreadknight-origins/#findComment-4899399 Share on other sites

I like the idea that the dreadknights are made specifically on Titan. Makes it that much more unique and special for the Grey Knights. I'm thinking heir techmarines send for special parts and materials from off world and then using their STC and what not to build it in their forges on Titan.
